And then there's the cool one.  Jen impressed the judges with her smoothness - her entries were excellent but it just didn't seem like she had to try that hard.  Does this Oklahoma cutie have what it takes to win the day?  We shall see.

Jen's Haiku:

simple, little girl

The tortilla.

  1. If your mother and the only person who could ever cure cancer were hanging off a cliff and you could only save one of them, which one would it be?

My mom. She’s amazing; she could probably cure cancer if she put her mind to it. My mom is the coolest.

  1. What’s your favorite cereal?

Damn, that’s a tough one. I’ll go with OH’s by Quaker Oats. Cinnamon Toast Crunch comes in at a close second. I like Captain Crunch but more than one bowl leaves your mouth in bad shape.

  1. What’s the best quality your parents instilled in you?

Sense of humor.

  1. 2 parts –
    1. What color best describes you?  Orange
    2. Why? Orange is a color that gets noticed. Orange seems to have a lot of energy just like me. About ¼ of my wardrobe is orange. People notice you when you’re wearing orange. I’m also a diehard Oklahoma State Cowboy fan. I love that school so much that I recruit kids to attend college at OSU. Sure I get paid an annual salary to do it, but who cares. GO POKES! Eddie Sutton wears orange and so should you!

 2 parts --

    1. Who is the best quarterback in recent years?

Joe Montana “The Comeback Kid”. I’ll argue with the best of ‘em that Joe is the best QB in NFL history. Thirty-one fourth quarter comebacks. If you want to argue John Elway was the best in recent years…I’ll take that challenge.

    1. Who has the best name in the NBA?

I’m going to be real honest with you. I’m not big on professional b-ball. I’ll watch college b-ball all day. I live for March Madness, but the NBA makes me sleepy.

I always liked Karl Malone’s nickname “The Mailman”.

  1. If you had to listen to the same 3 cd’s on repeat for the rest of your life, which ones would they be?

2)    G.Love & Special Sauce – Bonnaroo 2003 Live Show

3)    Jack Johnson – Brushfire Fairytales

  1. What’s the opposite of a tree?

Oh, that’s easy. A scientist recently discovered a species of utricularia at Central Florida’s Archibold Biological Station that grows underground. The plant conducts photosynthesis without direct sunlight and eats meat. Its ``leaves'' grow upward from the main stalk underground, while ``roots'' grow downward. Apparently, the white quartz sand of the Lake Wales Ridge lets light flow below the surface, allowing for photosynthesis.

9 ½.  Did you walk to school or take a lunch?

I rode in the back of the bus with all the cool kids but did take my lunch. PB&J, Doritos and orange HiC in my Alvin and the Chipmunks lunch pale. MmmMmm good.

10.  Who would you rather kiss – somebody who just ate earwax or somebody who just picked their nose and ate it?

My yoga instructor tells me the nose is my body’s natural filter so I’m going with earwax.
