So what are YOU doing this summer?

And the field has been narrowed to seven!  Check em out:

Spencer, your banana looks photoshopped.

Will drinking out of Frank's head in the AM.

Stephen's pizza is magically delicious.

Corrie and waffles (complete with syrup traps).

Katie gets pixellated over sausage sandwiches.

Keith, poptarts, intensity.

David Graham, falafel t-shirt sandwiches and beer.

So are y'all ready for ROUND TWO???

ROUND TWO - Haiku challenge.  Describe your ability to lift a box, in haiku form.  Please send your poetry to contests@vintagevantage.com by Monday, May 7.  Bueno!

And the results are in!  All seven entries were great, but as is the case with epic online battles to the death, we had to narrow the field.  So may we present the FINAL FOUR and their haiku submissions:

"Pythons" by Will

dos cajas o seis?

para mi, es lo mismo

tengo pitones

"Box Trot" by Sir David Graham

Boxes shake with fear

Over my head they are flung

Boxes don't shake me

"Boxes" by Spencer

I lift my boxes

Like I love my spaghetti

With my heart and soul

"Boxes" by Corrie

Knees bent; back brace on

In this warehouse full of shirts

I am the box queen!

10. What's 5Q + 5Q?

Okay, that's it.  You've got a week, please send in your answers by Wednesday, May 16.   Word!

Oh, damn.  That was intense.  All four of the finalists were qualified as could be, but in the end we had no choice but to take the most loveable candidate of them all...

Spencer!!!  Check out his answers:

1.  Who is the best roommate you've ever had and why?

My younger brother Kyle, who is my roommate right now, but only for one more week (sad face). He has the amazing ability to burst into dance at any moment, no matter what song is playing. He also has the ability to eat Macaroni and Cheese for dinner nearly every night. Amazing. He would probably eat it for breakfast too if it was socially acceptable.

2.  Who are your two favorite bands?

The Flaming Lips and Ratatat

3.  When's the last time you said sorry and why?

About 4 days ago. I was rearranging things in our fridge and I dropped a full glass container of salsa on the ground and it shattered. Salsa everywhere. I apologized to my roommate Matt, who was the owner of the salsa.

4.  What's your favorite highway fast food?

Double-Double at In-N-Out with a Dr. Pepper

5.  How often do you gargle?

1-2 times per day

6.  Please send us a picture of your favorite t-shirt.

This 1987 Beatles shirt that my Uncle Rich got from back in the day when he worked at Tower Records. I have been “borrowing” it from him for about 6 years now. Sorry Rich.

7.  Vegas or Venice?

Vegas… Bat Country.

8.  What was your high school superlative?

"Most Loveable". Honestly. I was. (Ed. note - he's not lying.)

9.  Describe Cher Horowitz in 10-15 words.

Misunderstood by the masses. Her money overshadowed her thoughtfulness. Loved her step-brother…a lot.

10. What's 5Q + 5Q?

“Ten’k You”

A big Ten'k You to all of the contestants, we love you guys.  Stay tuned for updates on Spencer's experience in the VV trenches, he's coming to a modeling runway near you!

i want to go home!
