Ok first off, waffle rhymes with falafel.  Pancakes are often associated
with waffles.  Pancakes are eaten by Lumberjacks.  Lumberjacks wear Flannel.
  Flannel is also worn alot by Al from the show "Home Improvement".   They
often fiddled around with Tools on "Home Improvement".  A type of tool is MC
Hammer's last name.   Nails are associated with hammers and for some reason
Salon came into my head.  Most nail salons are owned by Vietnamese people. 
Charley was a code name for the Vietnamese. That made me think of Charley
Brown.  Lucy was a character on "The Peanuts" (w/ Charley Brown) and was in
the title of a popular Beatles' song, Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.  That
song was on the album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band, hence Pepper. 
  Of course after pepper came Salt, and I thought of Kosher Salt.  Jewish
people eat kosher food.  Jews live in Israel.  And what is the international
snack of Israel?.... the FALAFEL.
